Dead by Daylight

For Dead by Daylight, I did so much stuff (humble brag). It isn’t easy to showcase it all, but as I was the sole copywriter for the game, I penned, jotted and wrote until my hands bled. And I love horror, so it wasn’t a chore!

Night Beta Site

We wanted to stir some media ruckus as Dead by Daylight was about to enter beta mode (when selected people get to try the game and give feedback). So, we came up with and created a website where people could earn beta keys to gain access to the beta version, but only during the night, recreating the dark horror theme of the game!

Digital Manual

We created a digital manual for the game—somewhere to turn if you need additional information, like if you got stuck or something.

But it didn't only contain info about the game but also lore and backstory for characters, locations, and in-game items.

I wrote all character bios and an official diary to accompany the game as a sort of prequel—based on a tonality set by yours truly.

T-Shirts

As the game was about to be shown at a consumer expo, we had to create t-shirts that played on the game’s USP.

In the game, one plays as the killer, and four others play as survivors trying to escape the killer. So we made (and handed out) t-shirts where you either became the “killer” or a “survivor”—let the game begin.

MISC VIDEOS

I wrote a bunch of trailers for Dead by Daylight, everything from release trailers and teasers to spotlight videos when new characters, maps, and weapons were added.
